coordinates national activities related to the implementation of the global agreements on chemicals in the Czech Republic. The National Centre is hosted by the Research Centre for Toxic Compounds in the Environment (RECETOX), Faculty of Science, Masaryk University, Brno, Czech Republic.
 

9th Summer School on Toxic Compounds in the Environment

Research Centre for Toxic Compounds in the Environment (RECETOX), Masaryk University together with Secretariat of the Stockholm Convention and the Ministry of the Environment of the Czech Republic organize 9th Summer School on Toxic Compounds in the Environment 2013.


The summer school will take place in Brno on June 24–29, 2013 and will focus on pollutants sources and fate in the evironment, sampling, toxic and ecotoxic effects on biota, risk assessment and data analysis. Special attention will be paid to human exposure and assessment of related risks.

Several invited foreign speakers will give their lectures at the summer school, among others Mr. Martin Scheringer, Institute for Chemical and Bioengineering, Zürich, or Ms. Katarina Magulova, Stockholm Convention Secretariat. The programme will consist of lectures, workshops, laboratory exercises and field trip to Košetice observatory.

Full registration fee is 14 150,- CZK (i.e. 550,- €). Early bird registration fee (registration and payment no later than April 30, 2013) is 12 870,- CZK (i.e. 500,- €).
