Projects
Main task of the Regional Centre is to support implementation of the Stockholm Convention as provided in the mandate to the Regional Centres (decisions SC 2/9 and SC-3/19) and support capacity building and transfer of technologies in chemicals management.

The Regional Centre provides long-term support to 23 countries of Central and Eastern Europe and serves as a strategic scientific partner for over 30 countries in Africa and Asia. The Regional Centre works as a project partner with UNEP, UNIDO and UNDP to build environmental capacities in developing countries.
Experts of the Centre have been invited to assist with a number of projects identifying the scope of environmental contamination, designing appropriate national framework and laboratory infrastructure, and have been consulted for practical solutions for environmental decontamination and remediation.
