RECETOX aims to hire a leading international scientist who will contribute to the dynamic development of the center. This will be achieved with support from a grant of more than 50 million crowns awarded to RECETOX in the European H2020 R-Exposome Chair project.

The aim of the Research Centre for Toxic Compounds (RECETOX) is to bring a scientist with excellent scientific results abroad to Masaryk University. "We are looking for an experienced scientist who, with his new team, will start the rapid development of the center's capacity in epidemiology, biostatistics, and bioinformatics for population models, personalized medicine and prevention," said prof. Jana Klánová, RECETOX Director.

The selected candidate will have the unique opportunity to establish a team of up to ten senior researchers and Ph.D. students. The research group will focus primarily on interpreting environmental exposures and its impacts on population health in previously collected regional data.

But it will not just be a scientific position as it might initially seem. The ERA Chair will be responsible for developing new study programs in Environment and Health, Computational Biology and Biomedicine at Masaryk University. At the same time, she/he will work towards developing RECETOX into a modern European research and education center focusing on the factors affecting human health, thus becoming more involved in the European Research Area.
