The Assembly of the Learned Society elected new members at its latest meeting. Among them was environmental toxicologist Klára Hilscherová, who thus joins the already threefold representation of RECETOX in this esteemed institution - Jiří Damborský, Jana Klánová, and Petr Klán.
The Learned Society brings together prominent scientists who strive to maintain and enhance the quality of science and higher education in the Czech Republic. Members of the Learned Society represent a diverse range of scientific disciplines, and their goal, alongside conducting and promoting science, is to develop an ethical and socially responsible debate across fields, popularize science, and foster enthusiasm for it in young generations.
We congratulate Professor Hilscherová and wish her the best of luck in her role within the Society.

Learned Society of the Czech Republic
For over thirty years, the Learned Society of the Czech Republic has been promoting science both nationally and internationally. In addition to advocating science through lectures, discussions, and media appearances, its members comment on important social and political issues in the Czech Republic and present Learned Society awards to both early-career and seasoned scientific talents.
