Another successful edition of the RECETOX Summer School has officially ended following the completion of the final on-site workshop of its 2 nd module. The EUROTOX Advanced Course brought together 26 participants from 10 countries, including early-career researchers, PhD students, postdoctoral fellows, and professionals working in toxicology and risk assessment.

After building a strong foundation through flexible online learning, individual assignments, and case-study preparation, participants gathered at RECETOX from September 2 - 4 for an intensive three-day face-to-face workshop. This phase provided a highly interactive environment to tackle complex scientific and regulatory challenges and to network with fellow participants, mentors, and researchers.

Throughout the workshop, attendees explored contemporary approaches to chemical risk assessment, including New Approach Methodologies (NAMs), physiologically based kinetic (PBK) modelling, next-generation risk assessment (NGRA), and regulatory decision-making.

A distinctive feature of the workshop was the close interaction with an international team of mentors from leading European institutions, including the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA), University of Basel, University of Belgrade, National Centre of Public Health and Analyses (Bulgaria), REGARTIS, and RECETOX. Participants worked on individual and group case studies under their guidance and received direct feedback from experts in toxicology, risk assessment, and regulatory science.

Successful graduates earned certificates of completion. We congratulate all participants on their hard work!
