Contractual and application research

Joint research

Joint research is carried out mainly through joint projects financed by external bodies. This type of research must be governed by a contract setting out the basic terms of cooperation, its objectives, the tasks of each party, the use of resources, access to existing knowledge and resources, the use of additional resources and in particular the future ownership of intellectual property to the project results.

Contractual research

Contract research is realized mainly in cooperation with the RECETOX research infrastructure, most often by the Laboratory of Trace Analysis or by the laboratories of individual research programs. The prices of provided services are calculated on the basis of data provided by the head of the shared laboratory and are approved by the center management. The calculated prices include technical implementation costs, human resources, materials and services needed for sampling and / or analysis, depreciation of equipment, overheads and VAT. The terms of contract research are specified in a written contract, including pricing, terms and conditions and intellectual property rights, if applicable. Any such cooperation shall be accompanied by a written report.
