Changes at the RECETOX organizational structure

There are several changes at the RECETOX organizational structure from January 1, 2020. (i) The new unit CERIT CS was established as a part of the Research Infrastructure under the guidance of prof. Matyska. (ii) The new ERA Chair research group was established and will start operating later this year after its leader will be selected in the currently running selection process and appointed to the position. (iii) The research group of Dr. Spáčil was shifted to the Environmental Chemistry and Modeling program. (iiii) The research program of prof. Damborsky is newly called Loschmidt Laboratories of Protein Engineering. The updated Organizational Rules and Organogram are available on the Document Server of MU.

 

State doctoral dissertation defense

On January 21, 2020, this year’s first doctoral dissertation defense in the Environment & Health program will take place in RECETOX. The thesis „Fate and bioavailability of old and new types of contaminants“ will be defended by Mgr. Natálie Peštálová 

 

Joint study program board

In January 2019,  a joint study board was officially established for the bachelor’s and master’s „Environment & Health“ and „Mathematical Biology“ study programs. The board is made up of internal members, employer representatives, and students; and is chaired by prof. Jana Klánová. 

Fundraising for the Krtek Charity Foundation

During the Christmas workshop at the Observatory, staff and students had the opportunity to donate money to the Krtek Charity Foundation for children with cancerThanks to your generous contributions, we were able to raise 11,000 CZK.  

We will keep you informed through the newsletter about similar activities during the year. 

Internal information

New teleconferencing equipment

For more comfortable and effective teleconferencing, we have purchased new equipment, such as the JABRA SPEAK 710 for small groups of users (up to 6) and  JABRA SPEAK 810 for larger groups (up to 15)

Changes in workplaces numbers

Changes in the organizational structure are reflected in the changes in workplaces’  numbers which affect the work with financial resources. Please, use the correct number of your workplace in your travel requests, orders, and elsewhere where relevant, to avoid the rejection of your request by the financial control. The workplace numbers are available in INET - 318000 RECETOX and its sub-workplace.

 

Recording of publications

Recording and administration of new publications which was handled by Míša Hylsová will be temporarily managed by Kateřina Novákova. She can be contacted by email at katerina.novakova@recetox.muni.cz. 

Sick notes

Since January 1, 2020, there has been a change in the system of Sicknote in the Czech Republic,  the system was electronized. Depending on this, the procedure for reporting the incapacity to work at MU has also changed. The rules for RECETOX can be found on INTRANET (English version will be available by the end of January). Further, contact Jana Vičarová.

Cash register and credit card

Sabina Váňová is now in charge of the related agenda about small expenses, so you can contact her in cases of reimbursement of buying on receipts. Please discuss these buys with us in advance.

Linda Nosková - is newly responsible for a credit card,  if you will need to pay something by credit card, please contact her.

RECETOX Events

Kick-off meeting CETOCOEN Excellence (TEAMING)

On Wednesday 15.1. 2020 we will organize the ceremonial launch of the CETOCOEN Excellence Teaming project. The event will be divided into three parts:

  • 10:00-11:30 - Ceremonial launch - formal event - formal addresses will be given by the representatives of EU, CZ and region (limited capacity),
  • 13:30-14:30 - Round table - discussion on the topic "Partnership for a healthy future",
  • 15:00-16:15 - Lecture (A11/334) - prof. Eran Bendavid: The effect of poor air quality on infant mortality
