CETOCOEN Excellence project ceremonially launched
On Wednesday, January 15, 2020, the H2020 TEAMING “CETOCOEN Excellence” project was ceremonially launched. The ceremony was held under auspices of the Rector of Masaryk University and was attended by two ministers of Czech government, representatives of European Commission, region, WHO and all the project partners.

Czech Hopes Conference and Open Days SCI MUNI
On January 25th and 28th, 2020, Open Days were held at the Masaryk University Faculty of Science. The event took place simultaneously at the campus in Kotlářská and the University Campus in Bohunice. About 40 prospective students, most of whom were considering the Environment and Health program as their first choice for their future university studies, visited RECETOX. The prospective students raised many important questions, the majority of which revolved around future career options in the field following graduation, as well as the admission process.
For the first time, students had the opportunity to play a memory game with selected topics addressed by RECETOX.
Following the Open Days, on February 6th and 7th, 2020, the 2nd Czech Hopes Student Conference (https://czechopes.cz/), organized by high school and university students for active and motivated high school students, was held at University Campus. RECETOX joined the event with a practical experimental workshop and a guided tour of the facilities.

Facility management requests in INET
New procedure for requests connected to the facility management will start on February 24, 2020. Thanks to this change, employees will have all information in one place in INET - history of the requests, editing, email notifications etc.. Using an INET for these requests will help us made better analytics and do facility management effectively.

Vaccination against tick-borne encephalitis
Currently, it is possible to take advantage of one of the benefits of MU and get vaccinated against tick-borne encephalitis. If you are interested, log in to the ordering system and then visit the doctor MUDr. Hlinomazova in her office at RMU until 31.3.2020.
Vaccination takes place in the following times:
Mon, Thu, Fri 10-11
Tu 10-11 and 12-14
Wed 10-11 and 16-17
MUDr. Hllinomazová finishes providing her services to MU by the end of March and will be replaced by a new doctor from April.

Transfered days of annual leave
We remind all those who transferred days of leave from 2019 that you are obliged to take - most of you were committed taking it by the end of January. Thank you all who have already done it for keeping the rules.

Antivirus software
Due to the planned introduction of an innovative system for remote management of all RECETOX end-station users, the current antivirus will be replaced by Endpoint Security system, which is part of Windows 10 software. The deployment of the new system will be gradual and therefore the existing Eset and the new Endpoint will function concurrently, with the aim of full deployment by the end of 2022.

Successful projects:
Congratulations to dr. Jana Navrátilová who has been awarded a prestigious MSCA-Widening Fellowship for the project "Investigation of the effects of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances on reproductive health in the fire-fighting environment (INFERNO)"! The overall objective of the INFERNO project is to evaluate the reproductive health of male firefighters exposed to per‐ and polyfluoroalkyl substances originating from firefighting foams and provide important piece of evidence for future legislative actions.
