On Tuesday, December 10th, the President of the Czech Republic, Petr Pavel, appointed new university professors. We are very pleased to announce that among them is a representative of the RECETOX center at Masaryk University, who is a recognized expert in his field. The highest academic title was awarded to Martin Bobák, who leads the Environmental Health research program at the RECETOX center.
Martin Bobák has become a professor in the field of Environment and Health and is one of seventy-eight newly appointed professors whose appointment decrees were signed based on the proposals of the scientific and artistic councils of universities. Ten of these new professors come from Masaryk University.
The ceremonial presentation of the appointment decrees took place in the Great Hall of Karolinum in the presence of the Minister of Education, Mikuláš Bek. We warmly congratulate all the newly appointed professors and wish them much success in their careers and personal lives.
The EIRENE IMP project was officially launched during a two-day hybrid kick-off meeting held on 25–26 June 2026 at the Technology Centre Prague. The opening event brought together project partners, representatives of national nodes of the EIRENE RI research infrastructure, and project managers from the beneficiary and the European Commission.
