In May of 2022 I started my secondment with the Climate Stress Lab group in University of Aarhus. During these two months, I had contact with different projects and scientists and learned valuable skills for my PhD.
My main practical goals during this time were: 1) to explore the combined effect of insecticides and drought in different species of springtails and, 2) to learn how to process soil samples from a field experiment and identify species of Collembola. Performing these tasks was extremely valuable for my PhD and I’m looking forward to the scientific outcomes of this collaboration. Martin Holmstrup, Stine Slotsbo and their team were very welcoming and supportive during this time. I spent most of my days with Liyan (ESR10) and Yang (ESR 1), both PhDs form PRORISK in Aarhus. Besides the work experiences we shared, the time we spent together during breaks or after work were so fun and refreshing.
