Martin Toul wins the Doctorandus Prize in this year’s Česká hlava Awards
The Doctorandus Prize is awarded to young scientists for research in the natural sciences. Martin was awarded for his research into the functions of the protein staphylokinase, which is used to treat stroke.

Česká hlava, together with the Office of the Government of the Czech Republic, is the annual announcer of the eponymous awards - the most prestigious Czech award for science and research that scientists in our country can achieve.
Martin has worked as a researcher in the Protein Engineering team of Loschmidt Laboratories, RECETOX Centre, Faculty of Science, MU, and has also been awarded several times for his research on luminous enzymes.

Martin is currently a postdoctoral researcher at the Vlaams Institut voor Biotechnologie (VIB) in Belgium.
