Dr. Klára Komprdová
PI at "Pharmacokinetic modeling" research group
Klára Komprdová is a co-leader of the " Pharmacokinetic Modelling " research group. She received an M.Sc. degree in Mathematical Biology and a PhD degree in Environmental Chemistry at RECETOX, Masaryk University.
She is a biostatistician with the primary focus on the statistical analysis of human biomonitoring data and development of toxicokinetic models. Her main research interests include evaluating human exposure, mainly the potential effect of pollutants on (neuro)development of children, using toxicokinetic models. Modelling also includes simulation of pollutants in tissues under different conditions, calculations of intake in time during exposure and identification the primary exposure sources. Other areas of interest are developing a QSAR (Quantitative Structure-Activity Relationships) models to predict the toxic potential of pollutants, based on their structural and physico-chemical properties.
She is an author of 25 scientific publications with over 380 citations and has an H-index of 13.
She is a regular supervisor of bachelor and master students and teaches courses: Advanced non-parametric methods, Modelling and Interpretation of Environmental, Modelling and Interpretation of Environmental Data – Practicals.
