Dr. Ondřej Mikeš
Junior PI - Exposure and health risk assessment
Ondřej Mikeš works as a junior PI in the Human Exposure and Risk Assessment group. His expertise is environmental epidemiology and human risk assessment with a focus on dietary and inhalation exposures. In previous projects, he worked on models evaluating the transport of chemicals in plants and humans. Now he focuses on the evaluation of epidemiological human health data with a broad view on the external urban and internal environment.
In his work he uses the GIS map program and epidemiological evaluations of data. He also focuses on communicating scientific knowledge to the general public and policy makers. He is a member and co-investigator of several international projects and the WHO Collaboration of Local and Subnational Authorities working group. He co-authored 15 publications with an h-index of 8.
