Prof. Frans Prenkert, Head of the Centre for Sustainable Business, spoke at the RECETOX seminar on the challenges of leveraging cross-disciplinary research for a sustainable future. This lecture inspired a long discussion.

Subsequently, the delegation met with the Rector of Masaryk University, Prof. Martin Bareš, to discuss possibilities for cooperation in science and research. One of the critical points of the meeting was the discussion on creating a joint degree program, the so-called "double degree" studies, which would allow graduates to obtain a joint diploma with degrees from both universities. This would open up new, attractive job opportunities for alumni.

Another key topic was the extension of the existing Brno Living Lab to the Brno Örebro Living Lab (Twinn-Living Lab Brno Örebro). Representatives of the RECETOX Centre also discussed the development of the European infrastructure for human exposure research EIRENE RI with senior advisor Prof. Åke Bergman.

The highlight of the visit was the delegation's meeting with the Sustainability Board at Masaryk University and a tour of the laboratories at RECETOX.

We hope this visit will lead to a stronger relationship between Örebro University and Masaryk University and open new perspectives for cooperation.
