On December 5, 2019, the Honorary Degree of Doctor Honoris Causa in the field of environmental sciences was awarded at Masaryk University to John P. Giesy of the University of Saskatchewan for his lifelong scientific contribution in the field of environmental sciences and for his long-term cooperation with RECETOX.
The program of prof. Giesy at the Masaryk University included also his lecture, which focused on toxicological evaluation of perfluoroacetate (PFOS) in the environment, and the interviews with young RECETOX researchers who had the opportunity to discuss with prof. Giesy not only the relevant research topics, but also their career development.
On 23 March 2024, the Open Day of the National Atmospheric Observatory Košetice will take place within the ACTRIS CZ project. RECETOX will provide guided tours as one of the partners of the ACTRIS consortium.
The new Horizon Europe project, FHERITALE, kicked off in January 2024 at a meeting in Florence.
