The RECETOX laboratories are currently the busiest part of the RECETOX Research infrastructure. Laboratories are accredited according to European standards for environmental sampling and a wide range of chemical analysis. In recent years, the laboratory expertise has been extended on methods of targeted and non-targeted analyses of biologically important molecules (metabolites, proteins, lipids) as potential biomarkers of effects associated with chemical exposure.
Trace analytical laboratory
Our accredited laboratories provide the analytical background for the research programmes of the RECETOX centre and provide the advanced analytical services to our research teams, as well as to external clients.
Bioanalytical labs – Omics resources
The high-end laboratory equipment is used to develop analytical methods in the field of proteomics, metabolomics, microbiome analysis, genetic toxicometry/epigenetics and toxicometry, all of which are pivotal to understanding the impacts of chemical exposure on human health.
Environmental monitoring networks
These networks encompass the monitoring programs, such as the long-term monitoring of abiotic matrixes and biota at the monitoring station EMEP in Košetice or the MONET air monitoring network, which is based on passive air samplers. The monitoring network is currently expanding in to all European countries and in many other in Africa and Asia.
