Joint supervision of ESRs

Within the project, we aim to utilize the expertise of our advanced partners for the co-tutorial of our PhD students and junior researchers and establish the institutional framework for such activities (not necessarily the joint degrees). Following PhD students and postdocs already benefit from the informal joint supervision:

  • Eliška Hrežová, co-tutorial with UCL;
  • Anna Polcrová, co-tutorial with UCL;
  • Antonín Kunka, co-tutorial with ETH;
  • Martin Toul, co-tutorial with ETH;
  • Martin Kizovský, co-tutorial with ETH;
  • Michaela Slánská, co-tutorial with ETH;
  • Jan Česnek, co-tutorial with ETH,
  • Gabriela Kšiňanová, co-tutorial with UCL;
  • Albert Kšiňan, co-tutorial with UCL;
  • Andrea Dalecká, co-tutorial with UCL;

The joint supervision of postdocs and junior PIs has been implemented in the RETRAIN mentoring programme where Martin Bobák and Hynek Pikhart serve as senior supervisors and mentors.

Non-TEAMING co-tutorials

We are also exploring other opportunities for co-tutorial of our early-stage researchers, for instance the EDUC (European Digital UniverCity) network in which Masaryk University participates. In 2021, we prepared the cotutelle agreement between MU the University of Rennes and hired first joint PhD student to pilot this programme. As the University of Rennes is also our partner in developing the EIRENE research infrastructure, this will further strengthen our collaboration in development of capacities for the European human exposme research.
