University College London

UCL is London’s leading multidisciplinary university, and is consistently ranked among top ten in the world by the QS World University Rankings. Its publications attract more citations from fellow researchers than any other university outside North America. UCL excellence extends across all academic disciplines, and it has one of Europe’s largest and most productive centres for biomedical science. Four UCL academic units will participate in this project.

UCL in the TEAMING

UCL will bring multidisciplinary expertise covering epidemiology, public heath, psychobiology, statistics and sociology, genetics, epigenetics and omics methods, with a strong emphasis on longitudinal studies, life-course determinants of health and environmental predictors of chronic conditions. UCL will contribute by providing access the phenotype and genotype data and biological  samples in the HAPIEE cohorts, by providing expertise in standardising and harmonising protocols of longitudinal studies, by developing capacity in conducting complex statistical analyses linking environmental exposures with health, training in genetic, epigenetic and other omics methods, and  by direct input in research into environmental and biological exposures and health.

The UCL's administration will assist RECETOX with the development and improvement of specific services, such as grant support or technology transfer.
